LO Penyelematan Binatang
We have been using the Learning Object "Penyelematan Binatang" in Indonesian. What do we think about it?

2 Great things about the learning object: .Some of the words could be trandlated by clicking on them. This made it easier to use
.You could take pictures which made the experience of writing an article and being a journalist more realistic.
2 things that need improving:
.They should make it easier to translate some of the words, such as having a dictionary somewhere on the game
.There should be a greater variety of places you could visi and people you could speak to
How did you figure out what people were saying? I just clicked on the blue words and basically formulated an idea on what they were thinking. It was sort of unreliable, and once you'd saved them in your article you couldn't translatre some of the words any more.
Instead of writing a magazine article, we could make a short documentary based on the experiences we had as a virtual journalist. Thic could be done on Power Point in slide form.

You can interview people and learn lots of information.
What two things need improving the most?
nothing.

we read the words we knew then we guessed the rest.
Instead of writing a magazine article, what else could we do with the information we discovered in the LO?
write a report on it or write a news paper article.
we got to take photos. and it was kool exploring the islands.
1. you cant save the work after your finished and 2. it should have english translations.
We used key words we recocnised and then asumed what the rest ment.

2 good things- Easy to use and you can find the infomation easily
2 things that need improving- It needs more places in Indonesia that we can go instead of a few.
How did i understand them?- I clicked the blue words and i figure out what their trying to say or think.
Instead of a magazine article we could make a movie about orangutans and how we could help them. :)
2 great things are you can take pictures and you can click on the orang-utangs.
2 things that need improving are that it should have more hints to what the words mean and you need to be able to go more places and speak to more people in each area (no, I didn't just copy what silkworm face said!).
I knew some words already and it said what all of the blue words meant, letting me be able to read it.
It could have attached pictures because they did not end up in the final article. We could have done a different sort of article.

2 good things about the thingy were that you can take photos, and it is easy to find information and there was a talking truck.
2 things that need improving were that it needs some more translations and some more people to talk to... i felt rejected.

The great thing about the learning centre is it's all interactive. Another good thing is that it gives you hints not the whole sentance to figure it out by.
Two bad things are that it's hard to work with it and writing an article was very confusing.
To work it out i read some of the words and then kinda used toggletext just a tiny bit.
We could also have done some other stuff that i can't think of right now.

i like the setup of the page and the way they have little links to the word in english

we need to add more movement in the picture to make it more exciting.

there were little blue words all over the page in convenient spots
